What is Knights Under the Star? 
Knights Under the Star is THE primary fundraiser for Nativity Parish School and Church. It is a critical source of revenue to meet our budget and fund a variety of needed projects that impact every part of our parish community. The last two years have seen record-breaking success, and we have raised almost $1.3M.  Auction proceeds have funded much-needed updates for our school and church, including:
Technology Updates
     • Chromebooks for all students K-8.
     • Interactive Flat Panel Screens for K-8.
     • Enhanced WIFI and network to support increased utilization.
Security
     • Enhanced camera security system, monitoring capabilities, training, and preparedness with law
     enforcement.
     • Hardened exterior entrances, pinch points, intercoms, and electronic door hardware.
Advancements with 21st-Century Learning 
     • Engaged school-specialist architecture firm, MultiStudio, to assist in master planning and concept  
     design for 21st-century learning environment and to plan for enrollment growth.
     • Continued collaboration and co-funding from Brown Family Foundation for guidance, expertise, and
     implementation of 21st-century education.
     • Designated as a premier Archdiocesan STREAM school (science, technology, religion, engineering, arts,
     and math). This involves project-based learning that is rigorous, relevant, student-driven, and
     enhanced by curriculum resources and technology.
     • Supported the program with a full-time STREAM Director.
     • Selection as one of nine schools nationwide for Notre Dame’s STEM education fellowship program.
     Three NPS teachers completed the 3-year program and are leveraging their learning with
     other teachers.
     • Adopted Project Lead the Way, engaging students with hands-on learning in computer science and
     engineering.
Capital Improvement Projects
     • Replaced 30-year-old church HVAC and temperature controls in church and school.
     • Cafeteria Refresh, including new tables, seating, lighting, ceiling, and painting.
     • Installed new 21st-century learning space used by special services to free up a classroom for a new
     third kindergarten section.
     • Replaced and upgraded cafeteria kitchen equipment and floor to improve efficiency.
     • Updated middle school flooring to epoxy and new carpet in most classrooms.
     • Cleaned, sealed and restored the exterior of the church and school.
     • Restored and refinished gym floor and bleachers.
     • Upgraded day school playground with turf.
     • Maintained and replaced parking lot, sidewalks, and curbs.

When and where is Knights Under the Star? 
The auction is on the first Saturday in March. Our next event is Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Fiorella's Event Center.

What is the attire? 
Cocktail attire.

How much is it and what is included in the ticket? 
Ticket pricing (TBD) includes a cocktail hour, unlimited drinks, dinner, dessert, late-night food, silent & live auction, and a band. The event runs from 6 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

How do I bid on auction items? 
Knights Under the Star uses BidPal for all auction item bidding, including fixed-price parties, silent auction items, and super silent items. You can access this online platform from your phone, tablet, or computer.

Visit Bidpal (link available closer to the date) to sign in or create a login. Once you are registered, please enter your credit card information at this time so your purchases are not delayed. You will receive texts with important messages and announcements. Checkout will be completed online via your BidPal account.

Bidding on live packages will happen in person. 

What is a Fixed Price Party?
Each year, at Knights Under the Star, we sell tickets to a variety of fixed-priced parties that will occur over the coming year. These parties are very popular and a lot of fun, with a variety of themes and activities involved. They are geared toward couples, guys' events, moms' events, and even a night with Father Mike. There is truly a party for everyone, and all proceeds from these parties go to support the school. Each party has a limited number of tickets available, so they usually sell out fast! Be sure to look at the list of fixed-priced parties and purchase tickets as soon as they go live.
